H5P Game Map project unexpectedly replaced by test content – Request for recovery
Dear Lumi Support Team,
I am contacting you to report a serious issue with Lumi Cloud that has resulted in the apparent loss or overwriting of an extensive H5P Game Map project.
I am an instructional designer working on an educational project, and I have spent a considerable amount of time developing an interactive Game Map containing multiple stages, Dialog Cards, images, and other educational resources.
The original Game Map was fully developed, saved, embedded in our Learning Management System (LMS), and working correctly until recently.
1. Initial problems with the original project
When I returned to the project, I discovered several unexpected problems:
The Game Map editor still displayed the background, stage positions, and configured content, but the View tab showed only a blank white screen.
Several embedded H5P Dialog Cards were stuck on the message "Loading, please wait..." when I attempted to edit them.
Some previously uploaded images also failed to load.
The embedded Game Map in our LMS displayed the same blank white screen.
The issue occurred in both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
I had not intentionally removed or replaced the project's content.
2. Attempts to repair the project
Because I had previously experienced similar loading problems with individual H5P activities, I attempted to repair the affected resources.
I reconstructed the Dialog Cards and corrected the problematic content within the original Game Map.
Unfortunately, the Game Map continued to display a blank white screen, even after these changes.
3. Creation of a separate test Game Map
To determine whether the problem affected all Game Maps or only my original project, I created a new, separate Game Map named "pruebita".
This new test project worked correctly.
However, when I subsequently attempted to open my original Game Map, Lumi unexpectedly opened the test project instead.
When I returned to my workspace, I discovered that:
My original Game Map was no longer listed.
Two activities named "pruebita" appeared instead.
Clicking on the entry where I expected to find my original project opened the test content.
The same situation occurred in both Chrome and Edge.
I did not intentionally delete my original Game Map or replace it with the test project.
4. The original LMS embed now displays the test project
This is the most concerning part of the issue.
My original Game Map had already been embedded in our LMS using the following iframe:
<iframe src="https://app.lumi.education/api/v1/run/YynLPP/embed" width="1088" height="720" title="Contenido embebido" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="true"></iframe>Original embed URL:
https://app.lumi.education/api/v1/run/YynLPP/embed
Resource identifier: YynLPP
The iframe code in our LMS has not been changed.
Nevertheless, the same embed URL that previously displayed my original educational Game Map now displays the test Game Map named "pruebita".
This suggests that the original resource may have been overwritten, incorrectly reassigned, or otherwise affected by a data persistence issue.
5. Urgent request for investigation and recovery
I would greatly appreciate your assistance with the following:
Investigate the history of resource
YynLPPand determine why its embedded content changed.Check whether the original Game Map still exists in your database, even if it no longer appears in my workspace.
Investigate whether the two projects named "pruebita" are associated with an unintended duplication or overwriting operation.
Check whether the original project can be restored from a previous saved version, database backup, or server-side recovery mechanism.
If recovery is possible, please preserve the original stages, background, embedded activities, images, and other project content.
If necessary, restore the original project as a separate resource to avoid further overwriting.
This project represents many hours of instructional design, content development, and interactive resource creation. Rebuilding it from scratch would involve a substantial loss of work and would significantly affect our educational production schedule.
Please treat this as a potential data-loss incident rather than a standard content-loading issue.
I can provide screenshots of my workspace, the duplicated test projects, and any additional information needed to investigate the incident.
I would be extremely grateful if your technical team could check whether the original project can be recovered before any associated records or backups are permanently removed.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
